The
Stamford International Music Festival
On the Campus of the
Stamford Endowed Schools

The Stamford International Music Festival is held on the idyllic campus of the Stamford Endowed Schools, situated in the small market town of Stamford in Lincolnshire, hailed as the finest stone town in England. Founded by scholars from Oxford in 1532 on the site of an ancient Chapel, the Stamford Endowed Schools are recognized as one of England’s foremost private educational institutions.

The School’s Old Chapel still lies at the center of a town campus that boasts beautiful views of the river Welland and a full array of modern facilities from a heated indoor swimming pool, an outdoor swimming pool, drama studios, expansive sports grounds and a music facility.

Accommodation:

Participants at the festival stay in the schools boarding facilities in shared or single room accommodation. Many rooms have ensuite bathrooms and most of the facilities also include recreational rooms with cable television, kitchens and laundry services. Single room asignments are limited to availability and an extra housing fee applies. The festival makes every effort to honor housing requests but cannot guarantee all single room accommodation. The accomodation is situated within the town center a few minutes walk from the main commercial street where a weekly market, dating back to the middle ages, takes place each weekend. Three meals a day are provided by the school's catering department on site. Gender specific room assignments are made in advance of arrival.
